Family and Friends

Stopping in Omak WA, we managed to arrive in time to see our niece Stacy as her husband Tom wheeled her off to the labor room. How can this woman be smiling??? Devin McKenna Christie arrived later that day with the memorable birth date of 09-06-03.

While Stacy and Tom labored away,

we enjoyed breakfast with their

delightful friend, Judy Leaming.

Next stop was Libby MT to visit Devin’s proud grandparents, Jim and Julie Shadle. We celebrated Devin’s birth with a picnic on Yarnell Island, in the middle of Lake Kookanusa.

The rains turned our float trip on the Kootenai River with Tom and Alvira Jones into cocktails and dinner at Jim and Julie’s.

Neither Will nor Sal were friends of ours, but we paused there in honor of Wilsall’s most famous daughter, our friend Shelly Burr. Wilsall MT is in a beautiful valley north of Yellowstone.
