Email Quote of Note
A correspondent writes from the North Island of NZ "In the garden all the fuchsias are in blossom. Also, the cherry tree and all the pelargoniums (geraniums) orange, white, light purple, purple and burgundy. And the weather is warm and sunny."

Welcome!

Dan and Tomoko are engaged! More below.

Thanks for clicking on our page. Check it out. After you look at our latest news, send us email and tell us your news. As you probably know, our address is: snydder -- that's with two d's, one for Dan and one for Dave -- @earthlink.net. Of course, the stuff in italics isn't part of the email address, it's just in there to fool email address scavengers.

Dave came back to Seattle for the US Thanksgiving holiday and the three of us drove to Jim and Julie Jane Shadle's home in Libby, Montana for our traditional family celebration. Under Julie Jane's expert direction -- the duty roster is posted on the refrigerator -- we all pitched in to fix, serve and eat a classic turkey dinner. The next day we went into the woods to cut trees for the December Christmas holiday.

See the clear cut in progress!

News and Notes

  • Dan called on Thanksgiving to say that he asked Tomoko to marry him. And she said "yes!" They are very happy! We all are very happy. Also, they are very busy finishing their schooling, so they haven't set any wedding plans, yet.
  • It looks like we will get a family trip to South America over the Christmas break.
The new supply of firewood is warming the house. Stop by!
