Email Quote of Note
I can't believe Dan is married. It makes me feel O-L-D-E-R than dirt.

Site Seeing
Without a doubt, the best site we've seen recently is the Jackson Pollack site! Be sure to click your mouse to change colors.

Thanks for clicking on our page. Check it out. After you look at our latest news, send us email and tell us your news. As you probably know, our address is: snydder -- that's with two d's, one for Dan and one for Dave -- @earthlink.net. Of course, the stuff in italics isn't part of the email address, it's just in there to fool email address scavengers.

Welcome!

Whew! It may be a lazy summer (or, perhaps, winter) where you are, but it has been a crazy summer here. Most of the excitement came in celebration of Dan and Tomoko's marriage. Here is the happy couple at their reception at the University of Washington Faculty Club.

Check out other pictures from the celebration parties, including many pictures of the guests!

News and Notes

  • The other major excitment of the summer has been our downstairs renovation. Happily, it is now completed! The newlyweds and Dave have already stayed in the new rooms without complaint, so we are ready for friends and other relatives to visit.

We will let you guess which is the "before" and which is the "after."

  • Dan will be Visiting Professor at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois in the coming year. He will be teaching in the Environmental Studies Program.
  • We have new contact information for Tomoko and Dan -- contact us.
  • Dave's poem Touch is being published in the Summer 2006 edition of Bailliwik. This art publication has both a paper form and an online form, so check it out! His poem can be found by clicking on the "sixth fish bubble from the right."
  • Also, Dave was selected for a two-week writing residency in Hudson, New York at the end of September. With luck he will write a lot, but if he gets writer's block, he can always enjoy the beautiful fall colors.
Enjoy the remainder of the summer!
