The road
across Beartooth Pass is one of North America’s most spectacular drives. It
begins in the meadows at the NE corner of Yellowstone Park where, in fact, the
buffalo do roam.
At higher
elevations the moose roam, too. The deer and antelope had the day off to play.
The
discouraging word soon appears. Unfortunately, syntax is its first victim.
Even in wind
and snow, the scenery is awesome.
The actual
pass is at 10,940 ft and is just visible as three little bumps on the horizon
at the far right side of this picture.
The scenery is
greener on the other side of the pass, but just as breathtaking.
The route ends
in Red Lodge MT, a town that likes to joke around at the expense of paleo guys.
