Email Quote of Note
On October 23, 2007 we received email from a correspondent,
"It is with a sad heart that I announce that Marcel Marceau, the famous mime,
has passed away at age 84. [In his honor] I propose we observe two
minutes of dialog."

Thanks for clicking on our page. Check it out. After you look at our
latest news, send us email and tell us your news. As you probably
know, our address is: snydder --
that's with two d's, one for Dan and one for Dave -- @earthlink.net. Of course, the
stuff in italics isn't part of the email address, it's just in there to fool
email address scavengers.
Welcome!
Autumn, with its low-angle sunlight and beautiful colors, has raced by while we
have filled the time visiting friends and relatives, or hosting them here in
Seattle. The official end of autumn is probably the US Thanksgiving holiday, which for
us means a visit to Jim and Julie Shadle's home in Libby, Montana. We
enjoy the usual Thanksgiving traditions, of course, but one day during the
weekend, we go to the forest to cut Christmas trees for the next holiday.
This year we added a new "youngest" woodsman, Cole Shadle, 14 months old.
In the picture from left Jeff Paradee, Brian Paradee, Stephanie Paradee,
Jim Shadle, Julie Snyder, Anna Paradee, Larry Snyder, Calvin Shadle and dad Eric,
Julie Shadle, Daniel Snyder, Tomoko Snyder, Jolene Shadle and son Cole, Angel Axel,
Jerren Paradee, "Ripkin". The Christmas tree outing followed pretty much the same
scenario as it did in
2005.
News and Notes
In September we traveled across Northern Europe on the 60th parallel. Find
out why and see some of the photos on our
Sixtieth Page.
Fluency with Information Technology, 3rd Edition is finished and
published. Whew!
At the end of September we attended the lovely wedding of friends Patty Mahtani
and Walt Savitch in San Diego. They're dancers, as are many of their friends (but
not the Snyders), so the reception was impressive!
In October, Dave was between jobs and so came to Seattle to cook dinner for
us. He arrived with a suitcase filled with ingredients.
From barbecue to yuca, it was terrific! He returned to Chicago to start his new
job at Columbia College in the Loop.
Our college friends Bob and Vickie Johnson from Pennsylvania came for a few
days, and we enjoyed giving a guided tour of Seattle.
Stop by, we'll happily be your tour guide, too.
